LOVINGLY DESIGNED AND PRODUCED IN THE UK BY A SMALL FAMILY BUSINESS
Painting a border design in a nursery or children’s room using a Dizzy Duck stencil featuring bunny rabbits, butterflies, and bulrush plants adds a whimsical, nature-inspired charm to the space.
This stencil makes it easy to create a repeating pattern along the top, middle, or bottom of the wall, transforming a plain surface into a delightful storybook scene. Soft pastel shades work beautifully to evoke a gentle, calming atmosphere, while brighter tones can create a more playful vibe. The bunny rabbits hopping between the tall bulrushes and flitting butterflies bring life and movement to the room, making it a nurturing and imaginative environment for little ones to grow in.

WHY STENCIL?
Stencilling is so much cheaper and less messier than applying wallpaper and you get to choose your own colours too!
Our stencils are washable, reusable and can be used with any paint.
They are an effective and inexpensive way to spruce up tired or plain walls, floors or furniture. We provide a wide range of reusable home decor stencils for painting. Whatever your stencil project, large or small and whatever style you prefer, we've got the perfect stencil for the job!
HOW TO STENCIL A BORDER
1) You can either use the top of a skirting board, or panelling as your bottom edge, or paint the bottom half of your wall in a block colour and stencil the border on the top edge of the colour block, stencilling in the same colour.
2) Position the stencil in place using some decorators tape on all 4 corners.
3) If only stencilling one colour, use a small dense foam roller to apply the paint. If stencilling several colours, use several sponge dabbers or stencil brushes, one for each colour. See LESS IS MORE! below for more tips on how to apply the paint.
4) Realign the stencil. There are repeat parts of the pattern around the edges of the stencil. Overlay these repeat markers over previously painted pattern to ensure you get a nice pattern repeat.
5) Repeat step 4 across the width of the wall. Leave the edges till last.
6) For the edges we find it useful to place some decorator's tape all the way around the edge of the wall, about 5-10mm (3/8") in from the edge.
Bend the stencil into the edges and secure in place. You may need to use your fingers to flatten the stencil in places whilst you use a stencil brush or sponge dabber to apply paint. Stencil up to the tape, this will help you create a nice clean straight finished edge.
7) If you are stencilling two adjacent walls that meet in an internal corner you could use small artist brush to 'fill in' any areas of the design that you can't get into with the stencil.
8) Finally remove the tape. Voila, your stencilled feature wall is now finished!
LESS IS MORE!
The biggest mistake most people make when stenciling is using too much paint. This will inevitably lead to paint bleeding underneath the stencil and cause blurry edges. You will be surprised how little paint is actually needed!
Don't overload paint onto the brush, sponge or roller. Rub most of the paint off onto a piece of card before applying to the stencil. Paint or roll in from the edges of the stencil so you don't push paint underneath.
And do practice first on some spare paper or card before attempting your project.
