What is a stencil and how do I use it?
Our stencils are made from 250 micron Mylar a semi-opaque flexible plastic. We cut our designs using a laser cutter which ensures clean precise lines. The end result is a tool used for painting patterns onto any flat surface.

Do you make custom stencils?
Yes, we can enlarge or reduce the size of any of our existing designs upon request usually at no extra cost. We can also create new stencil designs, for more information please visit our Custom Made Stencil page. Please understand that custom stencils are not eligible for returns or refunds.
How do I fix my stencil in place?
You can use masking tape or spray mount adhesive to secure your stencil. You can find both of these products in your local DIY store.
What paint should I use for stencilling?
We would always suggest using water based paint, as this dries quickly and is easier to clean from your stencil. If you choose to use metallic or oil based paint it is more difficult to clean which may lead to you damaging your stencil.
Why does my paint keep bleeding under the stencil?
You are using too much paint - it's actually surprising how little paint is needed when stencilling. We have a helpful video with tips and advice on stencilling technique. Please visit our How To Stencil page for more details.
How should I store and clean my stencils?
You can clean your stencil in warm soapy water. The best method is to leave the stencil soaking until the paint rubs off easily without having to vigorously scrub. Wait until your stencil has fully dried then store it in the packaging provided.
Can I amend my order?
We process and dispatch our orders within 24 hours. You can amend your order at any time before dispatch by submitting a form on our Contact Us page. If your order has already been dispatched you cannot make any amendments.
Can I cancel my order?
Yes of course, please submit a form on our Contact Us page to request a cancellation. We process and dispatch our orders within 24 hours. If your order has already been dispatched we cannot cancel your order but we can offer you a refund if you return the goods to us. See our Returns Policy.
Where is my order?
Your order was shipped with Royal Mail 1st Class and you should receive your parcel within 1-2 working days.
Your order was shipped with Royal Mail Standard International. Royal Mail aim to deliver to Europe within 3-5 working days. However this timescale can be extended due to unforeseen delays at customs. If you do not receive your parcel within 10 working days, please Contact Us.
Your order was shipped with Royal Mail Standard International. Royal Mail aim to deliver to the USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand within 7-10 working days. However this timescale can be extended due to unforeseen delays at customs. If you do not receive your parcel within 14 working days, please Contact Us.
I would like expedited shipping. Is this an option?
Yes. We are happy to send orders via expedited shipping upon request. There is a cost of £25 (minus any shipping fees already paid).
PLEASE NOTE: It is mandatory for you to provide an email address and telephone number for the courier to provide shipping updates. Failure to provide this information can delay the dispatch of your order.
Can I return my stencil?
Yes, if you want to return your item(s) you must send a written request within 30 days from the date of purchase. You can find more information in our Returns Policy.
If you have received a damaged stencil from us, please contact us immediately for a full refund or resend. (We will request photographic evidence of goods damaged in the post to help us claim compensation from Royal Mail).
Who pays for return postage?
You are expected to pay for return postage. We cannot take responsibility for any parcels lost or damaged in transit. If you are returning a large order, we suggest you take out the necessary insurance to cover the cost.
