Here is a round up of all the wonderful things I have found and bought through July. In true Dizzy Duck style there are a good few bargains in there!
It was Marie who spotted this beauty one shopping trip. We both had to have it! I really love how versatile this piece is. It suits most décor schemes and makes a statement without being too overpowering. It’s lived on my stenciled windowsill for few months, but now takes pride of place on my staircase windowsill. Marie currently has it on her fireplace mantle.
I bought this originally for my living room as a side table next to my cuddle seat, but once the British heatwave hit, I spent most of my days outside and this table came with me. I forgot to check the weather (typical), and this was left outside in the rain for a couple of days. It held up well with no damage so now acts and an indoor/outdoor drinks table. Love it.
I can’t believe I managed to snatch these shorts up for just £4! I’ve checked and they are still available in all sizes. They have an elasticated adjustable waist so size up to make them last! They were a birthday present for Evie, she put them on straight away and wore them to school.
Dizzy Duck Designs from £24
If you follow us on Instagram you will have seen me use this decal above my sofa. It was so easy to use and really adds to the space, such a small change has made all the difference. The watercolour print is so lush.
I can’t believe I’ve only just discovered this! As a mixed raced girl my hair is unpredictable at best, and I’ve been using the Got 2 Be Glued range for a while now. This is the size of a mascara and can be used to sleek my ponytail or tidy my brows. It never leaves my bag.
French Connection £95 (was £143)
So I’ve had my eye on this rug since I moved into my new house, but wasn’t about to spend £143 on something we didn’t need. But the colours go perfect with my décor scheme, and I couldn’t find a cheaper alternative. When it dropped to £95 in the sale Marie surprised me and bought this as a housewarming present. She’s the best mum.
Dizzy Duck Designs £5
We have a little snug that I decorated in concrete grey and lots of greenery. But it just needed a bit of contrast, something to break up all the grey. So, I decided to stencil my windowsill using the Kallat Faux tile with a groutline stencil and the difference it has made to the room is massive.
The smell of this product is unreal. I’ve been using it for years. During the crazy heatwave my Scrubee melted all over the shower, thankfully Adam bought me a replacement for my birthday! The dark stripes of the bee are ground coconut shells and almonds. The yellow part is a coco butter, shea butter and coconut oil blend. You use it in the shower when your skin is warm and wet, and the results are heavenly.
